Bespoke Builds Carpentry is based at 157 West Way, Broadstone, Poole, Dorset, BH18 9LQ, and is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy: we decide what it is used for and how. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. It applies to bespokebuildsuk.com and to enquiries made by phone, text or WhatsApp.

Information we collect. When you use a form on this site, we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number, email address, and, depending on the form, a message describing the work you want done and a rough size for the job. If you contact us by phone, text or WhatsApp instead, we collect whatever information you give us during that conversation. Every form also records which page and which button you used to reach it, so we can see which pages are helping people find us. This does not identify you personally.

How we use it. We use your information to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a written quote, and carry out and manage a job you have booked with us. Where the law requires us to keep financial records, such as invoices, we keep the information needed for that purpose.

Our basis for using it. Responding to your enquiry and preparing a quote is in our legitimate interest as a business, and is a necessary step before any contract is agreed. Once you book a job with us, we process your information to carry out that contract. Where we are legally required to keep records, such as for tax purposes, that is a legal obligation.

How long we keep it. We keep enquiry and job information for as long as it is needed to complete the work and deal with any follow-up, and for as long as UK law requires us to retain financial records afterwards. We do not keep information longer than necessary.

Who we share it with. We do not sell or rent your information to anyone. The form on this site is handled by Web3Forms, a third-party service that receives what you submit and delivers it to us. It processes that information on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes. We may also share what is needed to complete a job with a subcontractor working alongside us on that job, or with our insurer if a claim arises. We will only share what is necessary, and only where the law allows it.

International transfers. Some of the services this website relies on, including our form provider, our website hosting, and Google, may process information on servers outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on legally recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, to protect your information wherever it is handled.

Analytics and performance. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to see how the site is performing overall. Neither stores anything on your device or identifies you personally, so they run for every visitor. Where you accept cookies below, we also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site in more detail. It does not run if you choose 'Necessary only'.

Cookies. This site uses two kinds of cookies. Necessary cookies remember the choice you make on the cookie banner and let the site work correctly, and these are always on. Analytics cookies, from Google Analytics, are only set if you choose 'Accept all', and you can choose 'Necessary only' at any time to avoid them. Withdrawing consent does not affect your ability to use the site or make an enquiry. A Google Map, shown at the bottom of every page, may also involve Google setting its own cookies when it loads, which are covered by Google's own privacy policy rather than ours.

Your rights. Under UK data protection law, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, or object to how we are using it. Where we rely on your consent, such as analytics cookies, you can withdraw that consent at any time. To make a request, contact us by phone or by post using the details below. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Keeping your information secure. We take reasonable steps to keep the personal information we hold secure, and to make sure only the people who need it to do a job can see it.
